What are WordPress Permalinks?
A Permallink is the permanent URL to you blog posts. Every time you write a post it generates a permalink. This link is the one you email or send to others in an email message. This URL to each post should be permanent , and never change.
Permalinks Types:
1.) The Ugly Permalink or default: These will for my URL something like this: http://monicabeltran.com/?p=123. The 123 refers to the post ID given by wordpress.
2.) The Almost Pretty Permalink: I guess they call them like this because they are not ugly but not that pretty either. These will for my URL something like this http://monicabeltran.com/2010/01/24/sample-post/
3.) The Pretty Links: I guess they call them pretty because they are custom by you, and how you want them to look like. These will for my URL something like this http://monicabeltran.com/training/word-press-permalinks or http://monicabeltran.com/word-press-permalinks
You can change these links and set them up anyway you want under your Permalink Settings. Watch video tutorial for more detalis.
