A wealthy affiliate first finds an affiliate program to promote.  This is the most critical step to start your business on the right path.

How to find a Reputable Affiliate Program:

A successful affiliate selects a profitable market: This is very simple; the program selected must attract visitors. If you have no visitors, you have no commissions.

There two different ways to find a reputable affiliate program market

First, find a profitable market and then located the affiliate program within that market to promote

Second, do the opposite, find a profitable affiliate programs first then find out if that is a profitable market

I started with choice number one and I found that was a long route.  If I were to start all over again, I will start with choice number two: find a profitable reputable affiliate program first, and then research the market

A wealthy affiliate knows the following when looking for a reputable affiliate program:

1) Is this a product that offers great value?

2) Is this product what I think people want? Or is this a product that people really want? Choose the latter 

3)  Is this a product that I can promote and have customers return to me because of the value I offered to them?
