Affiliate Marketing

To become a wealthy affiliate first you need to know the basics. You need to be able to recognize how an affiliate website looks like and how they are made. By knowing this information, you can get an idea of how it works and start working on your niche.

Most people browsing on the internet are unaware of how this work.  If you want to become a wealthy affiliate, this is your first step.

How to recognize an affiliate website?

When you do a search on Google, you get a lot of results. There are usually three on top with a light yellow background; there are some on the right hand side, and maybe one at the bottom of the page under a specific title like: New Results for…  These are Sponsored links.

What are sponsored links?

Sponsored links are simple those who paid for you to click and visit their site in the hopes to sell you a product.

The other results are just “organically” ranked.  In other words, they have naturally appeared there, and don’t pay for you to click and go visit them. Usually these sites have more content and are more relevant to the topic.  It may be a bit more difficult to spot affiliate sites on those.

Wealthy affiliate, right now take some time and start looking on the sponsored sites to find some examples.  Just pick a topic and go do it.

Remember, look for the following clues:

-Review of products

-The word scam in it

-Ratings of products

All of these links are affiliates links.  Clicking in one of these links takes you to a completely different site.  Clicking also creates a cookie in the person’s computer, that even if the person doesn’t buy immediately, the affiliate gets the credit at a later time, most cookies are between 30 and 150 days long.

In summary, affiliate websites can be found from paid traffic, from natural listings which have a lot of SEO (Search Engine Optimization –we will cover this at a later time), and those with reviews, ratings, scams, etc.  Have fun find some examples.
