These are the Vision Questions for 2010 that I am working on today while in my family Florida vacation -perfect timing.
New years resolutions are not to be made at midnight over a glass of wine, or maybe they are, but if so, they need to be put in writing and you need to follow up on those, if not what is the point?
I got an email with these questions that make me realize I was cutting myself short on my new year goals, actions, and plans to follow. I am not sure if this questions were all made up or copy from some place, but I am sharing these with you. So, here they are:
- What skill do you most want to learn this year?
- What is one skill you already have that you’d like to improve this year?
- Name three books you most definitely want to read in 2010?
- In what specific area do you most want to encourage your spouse/significant other? What are some ways you can do this?
- Think of one of your major life goals. What will you do this year to make you one step closer to reaching that goal?
- Name your kids’ biggest strengths (children in your life). What are some ways you can specifically nourish those strengths?
- Name your kids’ most prominent weaknesses. What are some ways you can encourage their ability to overcome it?
- What is one of your strengths? Think of some specific ways you can exercise it this year.
- What is one of your weaknesses? Brainstorm some ideas on how you can overcome this deficiency.
- Think of an important relationship aside from your spouse/significant other and children. How will you nurture that relationship this year?
- Name a few ways your physical health could be improved.
- Name a few ways your family’s financial health could be improved.
- In what way do you want to draw closer to God?
- What is one are of home management that frustrates you? Think of some specific ways you could improve your attitude about it.
- Have you ever created a family mission statement with your spouse/significant other? If so, why not to one for this year?
- Name one specific thing you could do with your spouse this year that will deepen your intimacy.
- What is something that is continually undone in your life? What will you do to fully complete it this year?
- In what ways will you be involved with your local community?
- What is one thing you’d like to accomplish by your birthday this year?
- Think of three words you’d like to describe your 2010.
I hope that you are ready to start the year and make it your best so far. Let me know what you think about this questions.

Monica: I thought this list of questions was very inclusive. It made me think about a few things I’d put on the back burner. I think I’m going to put this up on my blog, Facebook and Twitter it and spread your effort. Actually, I may send to my special friends on my email list.

Monica,
This is a very interesting group of questions to think about. I am going to make a copy of them and over the coming week sit down and actually take some time in answering them.
Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
To Our Massive Success,
John
