Typically the ads you read said: “Make lots of money working from home”
Question: if this were true, we all be working at home, wouldn’t be?
Here are some tips:
Success doesn’t happen overnight: I am sure that lots money can be made overnight somehow. When I discover that, I promise, I will let you know. In the meantime, I don’t believe you can make big profits easily with a business that you are just starting. Operating a home base business is like any other but especially if you want to be successful at it. You need to acquire the skills, have dedication, offer good services, and time to make a profit. Making big profits over night is just another work at home scam.
Be cautious about unsolicited and solicited emails: Regardless where the email is coming from, be cautious. If it is unsolicited, be very careful, they do tend to be work at home scams. If you know the sender, all you have to do is ask questions before making a decision. How much credibility do you have on this person? That is a question you need to ask yourself even before hit replied or call.
Is there a refund policy? If so, do you understand it or is it clear enough? Ask the necessary questions if you don’t have the answer or can’t get it then that may be your answer.
Be aware of envelope stuffing work at home scam: Please be aware of this one. It is very unlike you are going to get materials to send out on behalf of a big company, most likely you will be ask to place an ad like the one you saw or got you there asking people to send you money for more information about working from home. I believe this is illegal since there is no real product being offered. This is by far what I called a work at home scam.
Have you checked your local library?: Do your research there before anything else. Most local libraries offer a “Work-At-Home Sourcebook” and other books or resources. These will tell you those local companies that hire people to do work at home. These companies are usually local.
Work at home scams are scary and there are too many of them. Please be aware of these and do your research. Don’t buy anything before confirming your information. What do you think about this post?
