What if you are not sure the wholesaler is a “bad guy”? If you come across a wholesaler that you’re not sure about, there are some things you can do to help you decide if they are legitimate:

1) Call your dropshipper online. If someone answers and says “Hello?”, you are not talking to a real business. You should be able to get a hold of an operator who can direct you to an account representative. If you are connect it, ask all the questions you have until you are satisfied.

2) Go got www.Whois.net and do a search on the company’s web site domain name. You may be able to see if the website is register to an individual name or to the dropshipper online’s company name. This may be give you a bad/good sign.

3) Search the internet. Just type in the web site name and/or the company name without the www and see what happens. If anyone has had trouble with them you will find out quickly. Now, read the comments, sometimes they are legitimate and somethings there are to many winners who do not take responsibility for doing their part and blaming on somebody.

4) Search the better business bureau web site, at www.BBB.org for complaint history.

5) Contact the Chamber of Commerce in the city or town where the business claims to be located and ask about them. Even if they are not a Chamber Member, someone should be able to give you some idea about them.

Making sure you are dealing with a real wholesaler can make or break your Internet Business, so please be sure that you know who you’re dealing with.
